How To: Print, Cut & Fold Your Own DIY Hermès Handbag

Yay, you can now own the iconic Hermès bag for next to nothing! There's one catch—it's made of paper. Hermès is currently offering several free downloadable templates for the "Kelly Paper Bag" on the company's Facebook page. Not exactly usable in the traditional sense, but it still comes directly from the official Hermès design studio, and who doesn't love papercraft?

The How-To is pretty self-explanatory, but here it is briefly, plus images of each of the 8 available bags, with a direct link to each PDF for easy downloading.

Step 1 Choose Your Bag, Download, & Print!

As mentioned, there are 8 available options. Select your bag of choice from the images below (or directly from the Facebook page), and click to download.

Once you've chosen your PDF, print the template as large (or small) as your printer allows. Scale appropriately in the printer menu's preview/settings, and hit "Print"—you should probably opt for a heavier weight, higher quality paper.

Step 2 Cut, Assemble & Glue!

Once you have your printed template, simply follow the visual queues: a dotted black line means you should cut, the solid yellow line means you should fold. The red dots indicate where to glue.

Step 3 Done!

You may need to practice with cheap, thin paper at a smaller scale before you master the craftsmanship. I plan on scaling these down, and folding lots of them for friends—they would be great table decor for a dinner party.

Reminds me of duct tape wallets.

Love the Gregoire. Very pretty.

Awesome! So glad I stumbled onto this, and can share it with friends.

I am not understanding the cut lines. My cutting machine will cut "out everything with the dashes. I have Silhouette Studio design edition
