How to Make a duct tape dress form

This how-to video covers the steps for making an exact double of your body out of duct tape to use as a dress form. Many commercial dress forms don't adjust to body types, and nothing will ever be as accurate as your own precise dimensions. All you need is duct tape, poly fill, and a friend with scissors to liberate you. Watch this video fashion design tutorial and learn how to build a cheap duct tape dress form.

very cool. did this (kind of) in the past and it works very well.

This was very helpful. I had read of it but your video was aces! Thanks.

what an awesome husband.

Hey there, i am just wondering how you START this. Are you wearing a dress underneath? and what is that white cloth your husband is draping you with before he adds the duct tape? Thank you

EXCELLENT! I've been sewing for 15 yrs and never thought of this! Girl, you're BRILLIANT!

Thumbs up! Can't wait to do it!

Fantastic idea. Love the tutorial.

I was also wondering how you began this project, and what is it your husband is using to wrap around your neck before applying the duct tape?

The stuff he's wrapping on her neck is probably just scrap fabric. It doesn't really matter what you use, it's mostly there so it doesn't stick to her skin/so the sticky side isn't exposed when it's off.

I thought the white stuff was tissue paper myself.
